Busy Busy Busy
Man, University is taking up so much more time than I expected. Sorry guys but you probably won't be seeing the tutorial up this week. Yes, hate me if you must. =[
I get a break from 17th-28th September. I can assure you I will have the tut up before the end of that break, no matter how crammed I am with assignments. Depending on my circumstances, I may even write up another in that time, but don't quote me on that.
Once I get a tutorial up, I'll start advertising GTIT on things like Dashing and Twitter. I'll possibly get some affiliates as well. Whether the other crew members decide to do the same is up to them.
At the moment we don't have a forum set up for GTIT. However, if you would really like to discuss yours graphics, programming or just want to chat, you can feel free to ask a question in a comment or head over to the Dashing forums. With 20,000+ posts, 178+ members, you can't go wrong. :) There's also sections to show off and discuss games, graphic design and programming, so there will be somebody there to talk you though any issues you may have. I'll (fantanoice) be there to help you out wherever I can. As for the other crew members, it's really up to them. :P http://www.dashing.co.nr if you want to check it out.
That's about it from me. Have a wonderful day. :)

Tutorial progress
In case you were wondering why the tutorial wasn't up last weekend, it was because I got stuck doing homework and went to a friend's birthday party as well.
As for the progress, the outline is complete and the draft is about 75% complete. You should see it up by next weekend.
As for some reminders, don't forget to check out the links on the right hand side. They may interest you.
So, that's about it. Have an amazing day, folks!

Another little update
Just messed around with the layout a little. It still has a default layout, but the graphics have been updated. Comment on them if you like.
I've also got a plan for my first tutorial, which I'll be getting to work on over the weekend. Keep on the lookout. ;D
Finally, don't forget to follow the blog. The more the merrier I say!
That's about it for the moment.
Have a great day.

A bit of an update
Okay, so I'm currently wasting time in my Multimedia class. Fantastic, am I right?
Basically, I was messing around with the HTML/Javascript widget and made a new section on the navigation bar to the side. I've put some neat links in there and I'll continue doing so. The other GeekTeachIT crew can do the same, if they like.
As for tutorials, I'll get one up as soon as possible.
Have a swell day!

Welcome!
Welcome to Geek Teach Interactive Technology (IT)! My name is Rachel and this is my page. I'll generally be putting up graphic tutorials with perhaps the occasional drawing, programming and animating tutorial.
Initially, the tutorials will be introductions to programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash, but later on I'll be showing you how to do some pretty amazing effects with them. These skills may help you develop pretty game characters, environments and menu screens.
If you don't have access to Photoshop, Illustrator or Flash that's fine. You can get a free trial off the Adobe website for a month. You can also find free programs that make similar products (such as GIMP, which is a very good free alternative to Photoshop).
That's about it for my little 'greeting' message. Have a fun time brushing up on your skills.
